As cheesy as this sounds, what differentiates bulk lots from one another is the care with which they’re assembled and the rate of duplication found within the product. Bulk lots from my personal experience are generally chopped up from much larger collections, think 200k to half a million card collections. How you go about breaking these up for average players matters, and it comes down to two dirty words, duplication and variety. Personally, I make these lots in blocks of 12-20 at a time. Why you might ask? Because there’s no other way to effectively spread duplication. That goes for single cards and double for sets. Imagine if a player got 300 copies of a single card or 800 cards from the same set. It wouldn’t just destroy their experience, but it might put them off from Magic, which is honestly an amazing game. These little cardboard boxes are a labour of love, organized and sorted, to create a fun ride. I try my hardest to minimize duplication to eight or less copies of a single card, and I try to put more variety into each box than there are programs on Netflix, just kidding- I can’t compete with Netflix.
